Abstract
This home movie includes scenes from the North Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago. It begins with shots of a residential building being demolished. This is followed by scenes of Don McIlvaine painting an Art & Soul sponsored mural titled "Black Man's Dilemma," only a few short steps from the demotion scene. This particular mural was once located on a building at 16th and Hamlin. It depicts the story of the degradation of ghetto life in America and suggests that Black people seek their own nation elsewhere.
