Abstract
Silent news outtakes capturing flooding on Chicago's northwest side on November 27, 1958. The flooding was caused by a burst water main pipe.
Description
Footage of water gushing at the corner of N Cicero Ave and W Gunnison Street in Chicago's residential Jefferson Park neighborhood. Police direct traffic away from the flooded streets as pedestrians survey the damage. Trucks from the Water Distribution Division arrive on the scene as several feet of water flood the neighborhood.
