Abstract
Silent home movie footage depicting the life of a well-to-do family in Evanston, IL during the 1920s. It was shot on 35mm film which was a fairly rare practice for home movies.
Description
Film begins with footage of what seems to be the patriarch and the matriarch of the family ice skating in a frozen lake or pond. This brief sequence is followed by two young siblings posing in front of a motorized toy car in the family's front yard which they then take for a ride on the sidewalk.
Next, the older sibling is shown attempting to pull a sleigh in which the younger sibling is seated. The film cuts to an interior shot of a baby in a crib, playing with toys and smiling at the camera. The film ends with a scene of the entire family (sans baby), playing outside in their backyard in the snow.
