Abstract
The first of three parts of Franklin McMahon's artist report on the political scene of 1968, or "one artists look at America in this political year." Illustrations by McMahon are set to field recordings, music and his own narration. Part one quickly introduces viewers to McMahon followed by coverage of the 1968 presidential campaign. The film follows the campaign trails of various politicians, including George W. Romney, Richard Nixon and Eugene McCarthy.
