This collection is open to on-site access. Appointments must be made with Chicago Film Archives. Due to the fragile nature of the films, only video copies will be provided for on-site viewing.

Stiegler, Robert (was created by)
A Chicago native, Robert Stiegler (1938-1990) received a bachelors and a masters degree at the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He began teaching at University of Illinois Chicago in 1966 and was active in the development of the school's photography program. Stiegler was a filmmaker and photographer who received numerous grants, including ones from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Illinois Arts Council. Select photographs by Stiegler are in several museum collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
