Abstract
This film portrays the lively culture of the Canary Islands; specifically, the island of Tenerife. The footage also captures the dry, tropical environment.
Description
The film depicts scenes of life in an idyllic island setting, with a nod to the cultural specificities of the Canary Islands, such as their traditional attire and local customs. A mountainous landscape is depicted before the scene shifts to show people dancing and enjoying themselves at the Santa de Cruz lent festival. This travelogue also captures scenes of family life in the countryside; women are seen weaving intricate tapestries and fresh eggs, fish, and vegetables are gathered to make dinner. Volcano Mt. Teide, the highest mountain in Spain, is also shown.
