Abstract
A singular home movie that adopts some of the stylings of early silent filmmaking, Danley's Biography celebrates the birth of Leonard Danley Gray Jr., as "told" through the eyes of the newborn.
Description
Film begins with inter-titles explaining the set-up, which is that the audience is about to view the life of newborn baby Leonard Danley Gray Jr., through his own eyes. The credit sequence lays out some of the "characters" featured in this home movie, including the father (Leonard Danley Gray Sr.) the mother (Gertrude Edena Miller Gray), and all the paternal and maternal grandparents, with the nurses indicated as the film's "extras."

The next inter-title states that the baby was born at Illinois Masonic Hospital of Chicago on July 12th, 1931. The film continues to intercut home movie footage with title cards such as these, presenting the baby's "dialogue" as he explains who his grandparents and parents are (all featured prominently in the film as they go about the stately home, visiting Leonard).
