Abstract
This reel contains three sections of unedited camera original footage. The first section was most likely shot around 1960 and is documentation of Mort and Millie’s daughter Gleda drawing. The camera focuses on Gleda’s face in close-up as she begins a pencil drawing. The camera moves to the drawing and Gleda’s hands as she creates the drawing of a woman, and then back to a close-up shot of her face. The second section begins around 02:54 and is footage of abstracted light traces and drawing (white on a black field). The camera is positioned at a distance from the light, and the footage reveals traces of light moving in lines and minimal patterns. The third section begins at approximately 04:15, and is a close-up shot of the lens of a light or studio lamp. The lamp moves rapidly in front of the camera, creating abstract patterns and light traces. This reel is related to Gleda and Harry Drawing Together Orig (F.2010-01-0104); Harry & Gleda Original #239 (F.2010-01-0061); and Harry & Gleda Work Print #211 (F.2010-01-0280).
