Abstract
“Greenbacks” looks at the real costs incurred through industrial production - not just the short-term monetary costs paid by the corporations, but also how the public and the environment must pay in the long-term. The episode visits Dalton, a city in Georgia whose ecosystem was impacted by industry development after the Second World War. St. Louis, framed through its proximity to several plants, factories, and the Anheuser-Busch brewery, is also suffering from the pollutants of such production.
